Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is a global, annual program focused on bringing student developers into open source software development. Sponsored by Google, it provides an opportunity to work with open source organizations on impactful projects over the summer.

This year, the competition was intense, with over 98,000 registered contributors and 23,559 proposals submitted. Out of these, only 1,272 proposals were accepted, resulting in an overall acceptance rate of just 1.3%, and about 8.3% among those who submitted proposals.

I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been selected for Google Summer of Code 2025! I’ll be working with Google DeepMind on the project Open-source Gemini Example Apps. The work will involve migrating cookbook examples to TypeScript, authoring new tutorials, and updating open-source libraries to use the latest Gemini SDKs.

The annual international Robotics competition organised by Asia - Pacific Broadcasting Union, ABU ROBOCON calls for multiple robots to work in synchrony in a given arena to finish a predefined task in a stipulated period of time. Founded in 2002 the competition has become among the largest, most competitive and reputed robotics competitions in the world. Each year Robocon releases a problem statement that forces the teams to think laterally and come up with innovative and efficient solutions.

• Achieved 99/100 in Stage 1 of ABU Robocon 2024, securing a top rank.
• Qualified for the Nationals, organized by IIT Delhi, with an All India Rank (AIR) 22.
• Won both group-stage matches, advancing as group toppers in Robocon 2024.
